Welcome to my site! I’m Sarah, an artist based in beautiful Wilmington, North Carolina, where I live with my husband, Greg, and our two dogs, Rudy and Basil.

Born in Lubbock, Texas, and raised in Boulder, Colorado, I grew up feeling a strong tie to the mystery of the desert and the mystique of the Rocky Mountains. My mother, Penni Pearson, was a successful soft pastel and oil landscape artist throughout the American West, and I’m grateful to be following in her footsteps (with my own flair)! Living in coastal North Carolina has since brought many blessings — and you can’t beat the feeling of laughing on the beach with family, watching the moon rise over the Atlantic.

My work focuses on dreamy landscapes and nostalgic scenes that explore the delicate balance of light in the darkness. I paint to evoke a sense of quiet wonder, capturing fleeting moments that feel both familiar and mysterious. Each piece serves as an open invitation to step into a peaceful space of remembrance and imagination.
